Welcome to the Putney Conservation Commission
"It would be worth the while if in each town there were a committee appointed to see that the beauty of the town received no detriment." Henry David Thoreau
The Putney Conservation Commission meets on the third Thursday of each month at the Town Hall at 7pm. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
On April 14, 2012, four students from Putney Central--Sean, Alissia, Megan and Alex--helped clear invasive plants, cut trees, haul brush, and build a corduroy bridge at the Beatrice Aiken preserve on Old Route 5. Many thanks to these wonderfully enthusiastic, upbeat and hard-working volunteers!
