Town Hall Proposed Renovations

The Putney Town Hall was built in 1871 and has served as the Town's Library, Post Office and since the 1960's, the offices for Putney's municipal officials.  The building is listed on the National Register for Historic places and is a significant feature in Putney's Historic District.  A committee of Putney residents evaluated the building, and found that it is in good overall condition.  Some interior alterations are recommended to meet the changing needs of our Town Offices and to better serve the public.  A lift is shown to provide future access to the second floor, with the goal of returning this space to use by the community.
